Remove Loose Debris:
Shake the mat thoroughly to remove loose dirt and debris. You can also use a broom to sweep off any remaining surface dirt.
Rinse with Water:
Lay the mat flat on the ground. Use a hose or pressure washer to rinse the mat thoroughly. Start at one end and work your way across to ensure all dirt is loosened.
Prepare Cleaning Solution:
If the mat is particularly dirty, fill a bucket with water and add a small amount of mild detergent or soap. Mix well until suds form.
Scrub the Mat:
Dip the soft-bristle brush or broom into the soapy water and scrub the mat gently. Focus on any areas with stubborn dirt or stains. Be sure to clean both sides of the mat.
Rinse Again:
After scrubbing, rinse the mat again with clean water to remove any soap residue. Make sure all detergent is washed away to prevent it from attracting more dirt.
Dry the Mat:
Shake off excess water and allow the mat to air dry. You can hang it over a railing or lay it flat in a well-ventilated area. Ensure the mat is completely dry before placing it back in its original location to prevent mold or mildew.
Regular Maintenance:
For regular upkeep, sweep or hose down the mat weekly to keep it clean. Deep cleaning can be done monthly or as needed, depending on the level of dirt.
By following these steps, you can keep your vinyl loop log mat clean and in good condition for extended use.
